Who we work with is everything to us, our relationships with our customers really matter.  We love working with people who think like we do. We want to inspire everyone to see how important the safety of their staff, themselves and anyone around them is and we’re doing a great job.

It’s safety first for JCB and that makes them a great match for our company.  We’ve been supporting the international, construction machinery and equipment  manufacturer with their statutory inspection needs for many years and we love working with them!

Our people and our customers come before everything else at British Engineering Services and that’s also true of the approach adopted across JCB.  This makes our partnership even more effective as we work to help keep their people safe and company legally compliant.

The challenge

The nature of the JCB business means their statutory inspection requirements are not only vast, but are spread across a number of locations.  On top of this, each site is split into several different production areas, with a unique team and team leader dedicated to each of these ‘areas’.

For JCB, production is key and, as a result, it’s absolutely essential that their external service providers are able to keep disruption and downtime to an absolute minimum at all times.  The huge scale of their production activity means their inspection needs are huge and with a focus on safety at all times, on site Health and Safety induction requirements are essential for every visitor attending site for the first time.

Our solution

Our relationship with JCB is something we’re extremely proud of.  We continue to work closely with their team to make sure we understand their priorities and can always meet their needs. We’ve worked hard to develop strong working relationships with each of their ‘sub teams’, fixing Engineer Surveyors to their sites to ensure their inspections are always completed by people who are familiar with their area of the business and preferred ways of working.

Following on from this, our fixed Engineer Surveyors are so skilled and experienced when it comes to JCB that they are fully trained in many of their safety process.  This means they can induct new British Engineering Services people when they first start working with the company, saving them time and increasing efficiency.

When it comes to planning inspections, we’re award winning for a reason.  Using the most sophisticated software and our team of dedicated Central Planners, we schedule inspections around the needs of our customers.  And that’s exactly what we do for JCB.  We work during scheduled ‘down time’ and out of hours to ensure we’re not impacting on site production.

On top of machinery, Pressure, Power Press and LEV inspections, we’re delighted to be completing the most thorough electrical inspections for JCB as we continue to help make sure everyone gets home safe.
