An innovative solution for Thames Water
Don’t just take our word for it…
Who we work with is everything to us, our relationships with our customers really matter. We love working with people who think like we do. We want to inspire everyone to see how important the safety of their staff, themselves and anyone around them is and we’re doing a great job.
We are delighted to be a trusted partner of Thames Water. We’ve worked alongside the utilities provider since 2012 overcoming their inspections challenges as we work to keep their plant safe and operational. Thames Water is just one of the companies we work with that have a progressive attitude towards ways of working and are fully supportive – in this case lead the way – when it comes to embracing new technology and looking for getting the job done while reducing exposure to personal risk.
The challenge
Thames Water locations can be difficult to access. Some machinery is in particularly hard to reach locations and can’t be accessed without specially erected platforms or expensive solutions being put in place. Along with this, the vast inspection requirements take some managing for our customer and can only be examined within the security guidelines of their many sites.
Our solution
The innovative Thames Water team make use of drone technology for a number of reasons but above all to reduce risk. We were delighted to work alongside the technologically advanced group to complete some of their inspections using the equipment, preventing the need for any unnecessary working at height.
Along with this, we worked with Thames Water to complete a Gap Analysis on their schedule ensuring our site list was up to date and all machinery and equipment was listed for inspections. Our relationship continues to go from strength to strength and we have the results to prove it.
“Our partnership with British Engineering Services means we have peace of mind that our inspections are always taken care of. Due to nature of our business, our requirements are vast and constantly changing. Their team work alongside ours to make sure we always adopt the most effective ways of keeping our people safe, while minimising on site disruption and downtime at the same time.
British Engineering Services’ use of the most innovation technology, including their online reporting tool, means we have access to all of the information we need to ensure we’re managing risk effectively, all of the time.” Carol Moore, Thames Water.
